MOROCCOESSAOUIRANOV 2026Nabta
Nabta means sprout or something that begins to grow. A living origin.
Set on the Atlantic coast of Essaouira, Nabta is where Wave Atlas was born, and where the rhythm of surf, wind and tides shaped the way we travel. Days revolve around daily surf sessions adapted to conditions, with space to slow down and experience Morocco beyond the lineup: dunes, the medina, local craft and nearby places that deepen your sense of the coast.

[ HIGHLIGHTS ]
Four pillars that shape your days in Morocco
WAVES
Surf here is guided by wind, tides, and changing conditions, and learning to read the ocean becomes part of the experience, not an extra.
YOGA + MOVEMENT
Days unfold with yoga and movement practices woven through the week, supporting recovery, presence, and a calmer pace alongside surf.
VILLA
You’ll stay at a modern refuge set between Essaouira’s historic centre and the beach, surrounded by nature, with bright spaces, spacious rooms, and a private pool, blending contemporary elegance with Moroccan charm.
LOCAL CULTURE
Beyond the water, the trip moves through the dunes, the medina, traditional crafts (e.g. pottery painting), and excursions that connect you to everyday life on this coast.
[ YOUR GUIDE & YOGA INSTRUCTOR]
Diana
I’m Diana, the founder of Wave Atlas. A passionate surfer, storyteller, and traveller at heart, I’ve spent years exploring coastlines and building experiences that bring people closer to the sea and to themselves. From the beaches of Essaouira to remote breaks across the world, my work is rooted in connection, intention, and the belief that travel feels different when it’s guided by the ocean.
This project is my way of sharing the places, people, and waves that have shaped me, and creating journeys that might shape you too.
[ YOUR GUIDE & SURF INSTRUCTOR ]
Hakim
I’m Hakim, a surfer born and raised in Essaouira, Morocco. For over 10 years, I’ve been teaching surf and sharing the waves, coastline and culture that shaped me. Growing up by the ocean gave me a deep connection to the sea and an intimate knowledge of the Moroccan coast.
For me, surfing is about more than waves. It’s about connection, freedom and helping people feel at home in the water while discovering the spirit of Morocco. I love creating experiences that feel authentic and connected to the ocean.
Alongside Diana, I’m also the co-founder of Wave Finder Morocco, our base surf school in Essaouira.
