  • Wave Atlas was founded by the team behind Wave Finder Morocco, a surf school and travel experience based in Essaouira. Years of operating surf programs on the ground shape how every journey is designed today, from logistics to safety to group dynamics.

  • Wave Atlas is open to different surf levels, from beginners to more experienced surfers. Each trip is designed with the destination and conditions in mind, and surf sessions are adapted to the group so everyone feels comfortable, challenged and supported in the water.

  • You can absolutely join solo. Many people travel alone and that’s a big part of what makes Wave Atlas special. Groups are intentionally small and well balanced, making it easy to connect and feel part of the experience from day one.

  • Wave Atlas trips are hosted by the Wave Atlas team together with trusted local partners. Hosts are present throughout the trip, taking care of logistics, surf sessions and the overall flow, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

  • Yes. While each trip has a clear structure and rhythm, there is always space for free time. You can rest, explore on your own, join optional activities or simply slow down. Wave Atlas is about balance, not over-scheduling.

  • Yes. Before the trip, you’ll receive a detailed guide with everything you need to know, including the itinerary, what to bring, local tips and practical information to help you arrive prepared and relaxed.

  • Wave Atlas does not book flights, but we can guide you on the best options and help organize transfers to and from the destination when needed.

  • To book a trip, you’ll need to submit a request through the Wave Atlas web. Once we receive it, we’ll get in touch with you to share detailed information, availability and a personalized quotation. From there, we guide you through the next steps to confirm your spot.

  • Yes. A deposit is required to secure your place on any Wave Atlas trip.

    In most cases, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due prior to departure. Exact payment timelines and cancellation terms may vary depending on the destination.

  • Cancellation terms vary depending on the destination and specific trip. The exact dates and refund conditions are always clearly stated on each destination page and shared before booking.

    In general:

    • A deposit is required to secure your place

    • Cancellations made before the stated free cancellation deadline may be eligible for a full refund

    • After that deadline, the deposit becomes non refundable

    If a trip is canceled by Wave Atlas, all payments made will be fully refunded.

  • Destinations are selected based on surf quality, local culture and the possibility to build meaningful connections with people on the ground. We work with trusted local partners who share our values and know the place deeply.

  • Yes. Wave Atlas is constantly evolving, with new destinations added over time. Each one follows the same philosophy: surf-led experiences with a strong sense of place, community and rhythm.
